    Transfer music

Does anyone know how to transfer music from an ipod touch to my computer? I got a new laptop a couple months ago, but at this point, I have only been able to transfer 300 songs from the 1000 that are currently stuck on my Ipod. Some of these songs were purchased through itunes, but most were bought on cd's or downloaded. My original itunes library is on an old computer that is long gone.

It would help if you said what OS the computer is running. I know that there are shareware apps for Mac to import music from the iPod to the Mac. I'm sure there are some for the PC too. Once imported into iTunes, you can then manage whatever content you want on the iPod.

Oops, I meant to include I'm currently running windows 7. The ipod is a 2nd generation iTouch running OS 3.1.3

I've already tried some 3rd party software, but I have been unable to find a program that works with the iTouch. Most of the programs won't recognize it.

                Sharepod.

Look it up. It's a really simple program that can transfer everything off your ipod and onto the computer.
