    Gran Turismo 5

Tried to search for a current thread didn't find one. Anyone get this game??Been playing a lot of it lately, probably too much.

Going to be getting a friendly race night started next Wednesday night starting around 6:00pm, if anyone's interested. I currently have around 8 players committed.

Probably start off with Karts and then switch it up weekly. Nothing serious, no stats, just a little **** talking.

The bullets with my name on it I'm not worried about, it's the "To whom it may concern" ones I'm worried about.

i got it....haven't had time to play it in a week or so, but a weekly meet sounds fun. I visit a gaming forum and they do a weekly Wednesday meet as well, but its at 4pm(to accommodate east coast players and oversees players) and I can never make it.

I almost bought it. Not sure if I want to. I'm apprehensive because I'm thinking that because of all the ridiculous delays for the title to come out, that by now it might feel kind of dated.

The main thing I want it for is I heard they they have finally included some 5 liter mustang foxbodys ('86-93). Is this true?

          223 - Ford Mustang Mach 1 '71

The game doesn't feel dated at all. Its actually the most fun I think I've ever had playing a racing simulator. The only big complaints I have so far: when racing at night its almost impossible to see anything(too dark), and when trying to select a race that has a specific car requirement; you have to go search for the car(there should be a shortcut to the dealership with the required cars listed).

I'm on the last challenge for my IA license(then is on to super), and have made it to the third/fourth tier of both A-Spec and B-spec challenges.

I do not own it but I was playing it last night for a few hours. My buddy just got a whole steering wheel and pedal setup. Let em tell you it is worlds better than the old N64 setup. The steering wheel makes you feel like your really driving. It has force feedback for goodness sake. I was very impressed with it.

Still no foxbody mustangs. Lame because those cars are very popular among enthusiasts in the states. Let's see, 5 Mustangs and 25 Lancer Evos - I'm sensing some disproportionality . GT is an awesome series, definitely leading the way in realism, but they've always seemed very bias against non-Japanese cars, especially American. NFS:SHIFT was the first racing game I've been able to dominate with an American muscle car for most the game before finally moving to a Lambo to finish off some of the last races.

Anyone try out the Logitech PlayStation 3 Driving Force GT Racing Wheel? That wheel along with GT5 looks like a tempting combo. I question how comfortable it would be on a couch, though.

I played the cockpit setups they had at E3 this year(in 3d). I am still looking at getting a wheel for my house, but my living room is already a bit cramped.

bump up. been looking for some online racers since the grind for xp is starting to put me off GT5.

                  crookedcrew = psn

*This is not about OP's idea of league racing. I bumped this thread to just get GT5 players together for some fun, and just didn't want to creat another thread

The wheel is the way to go! I had to modify my wife's chair to accommodate my G27 setup I can put it together, or take it apart in 5 minutes.

I have GT, GT2, GT3, GT4 and I play them all of the time!

Sadly, I dont have a PS3, although the only reason I bought a PS1 & PS2 was for Gran Turismo, so I just might have to break down and get a PS3 (used since I still wanna play PS1 games).

Doesn't feel dated to me either, the cars look awesome almost real some times especially when you take photos.
