    Web Cam Problem

I can see the other person, but they can't see me. There must be something I need to turn on. I followed the instructions for installation. Anyone have any ideas????

Probably need more info. . .

Netbooks usually need to turn on/off built in webcam.

Depending on the software you may need to select your video source.

Is there a lens cover on it? Usually they slide to the side.

You didn't say what web cam or software your using. I'm going to guess it's a port forwarding issue.
Do the instruction mention any port(s) you have to open on your router or firewall software ?

If your ISP isn't blocking the ports this may help.

Use WebCam Monitor to broadcast the video images from your Webcam. Let others see your Webcam video over the Internet.

Your software may use UPnP in your router if it's enabled in your router.
                  Beware, UPnP has security issues.

                  Good luck.
