help with Outlook 2007? Exporting pst file

I'm doing a complete wipe of my personal computer right now. Finally upgrading from Win XP to Win 7. I use Outlook 2007 and want to basically save everything (my personal folders, emails, contacts etc) and put it on my new OS (Windows 7). I know it will save the mail folders (Inbox, Junk E-mail, Outbox, Send Items and Drafts folders), but need to know if it also saves my email folders i made to organize saved emails.

From my understanding I can just export the .pst file and EVERYTHING will be saved?

Exporting to a PST should preserve your file structure just fine (as long as you perform the export correctly).

I would export it, then create a new account on that Outlook, and import them to verify it worked before you wipe the computer.

Just make sure to check the box that says include sub folders.

        c:\documents and settings/username/local applications/application data/microsoft/outlook

Copy the outlook.pst file and your good to go. when you get Win 7, and Office installed do a File, Import and your good to go.
