If you have a smart phone there is a Kindle app, you can also get this app for your computer. Saves on the cost of an e-reader.
Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison

The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms. -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87 (Pearce and Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)

I'll stick to buying actual books. I read a lot and have tried to like the current gen. e-readers but I can't. A paperback book has so many advantages over lugging an e-reader around (no batteries, durable, cheap, not a target for airport theft, etc.). I write software for a living and I fark around with enough electronic pieces of crap every day. And no, cell phone readers aren't an option. The screens are too small and I'm always scrolling. When I read I'd still rather look at a printed page. Maybe in a few generations readers will "get me." Anything's possible.
