    +++ on this. I run the technical end of Marketing-Creative Services in a VERY PC-centric company. All of our designers, editors, and creative pros run on MacPros, with VMWare Fusion to run the MS Office apps, and all the mandated managed software run by IT. Works very well.

    You can also set up VMWare or Parallels to run using a separate Boot Camp partition with XP/Vista/Win7, so you have the option of either launching the virtualized environment for lighter-weight stuff such as Office, or booting straight into Windows for PC-based video editing apps, gaming, or 3D work that requires hardware-level access to the video card.
