    Web page to pdf conversion

I've been reading SHTF stories on AR15.com written by amateur writers and found it interesting. I am looking for directions on how to piece together chapters of stories written into forum posts and then download them to my HTC EVO phone that I'd like to use as an eBook type reader. I've read pdf format documents in my phone as well as some eBooks. Does anyone have suggestions on how to get this fomatted on my desktop and then download to my phone such that it would be eBook type reading where the document fits to page and the flipping of pages would work on the EVO? Thanks.

You could print them to PDF. A free tool to create PDFs is PDFCreator.
Download PDFCreator for free. Converts every printable document to PDF, JPG, PNG, TIF and more. PDFCreator creates professional PDFs with just a few clicks and it's free. PDFCreator comes with many professional features to merge documents, send emails, and more.

You could print the web pages to PDF then upload them to your phone.
If you want something better formatted to your phone's screen, you could use Mobipocket creator.

This utility takes a little more work, but you get them into a format optimized for mobile devices.

If you have OS X, it will natively save any document (web included) to pdf.

Thanks gunsmith, I just started working on a project where I want to keep a bunch of proposals for jobs as pdf's on my EVO for reference in the field and those links will probably be useful.

Funny how the EVO got me back into using pdf's.

Just found Adobe Acrobat Professional in my CS3 suite--perfect!!!

I can save web pages via Acrobat Pro as pdf's, and email them to my phones' gmail account, and then save them to the SD card. Works great.

One of the nice things about Open Office (since version 2.0). Pull in the HTML and export as a PDF. No fuss, no mus.

Since I use linux, I can't say that it's that easy with winders, but I suspect it is. Open Office is free, BTW.

You can use Adobe Acrobat Pro, if you have access to it. Download files, crop pages, add, delete, extract pages, edit text, etc.

I use Primo PDF. It creates a virtual printer on your computer so as long as you can print it, you can create a pdf of it.

HTML is a page markup language. PDF is a page description language.

HTML can be rendered any way the rendering engine wants. All rendering
methods are correct. As a result, no web page has any fixed look.

Fundamentally there is no way to convert HTML to PDF. Sure, one can
have approximations. But there are no true conversions.

That's what I use, awesome little tool that works great. Installs as a printer on your PC, and when you print to it a window pops up asking you where you want the PDF saved to.
