I am trying to build a computer from scratch for the very first time, and i got some very newbie question here...

Is this the FULL operation software I will need? I am looking at window 7_64bit. This is not a upgrade right?

The first link is a version for OEMS. You may need to show some proof of building a new system for Newegg. IF not, then Newegg "may" get in trouble with MS (not your problem). If you can buy that version then get it. The other version looks like it has both 32 (which you do not need) and 64 bit DVD where this one may only have 64 bit according to the reviews.

The one I posted is the full version of Windows 7, it has all the features. It's also an OEM copy which just means you have to buy qualifying hardware with it (i.e. CPU, Motherboard). OEM copies are nice since you get a large discount off the full price with them.

Or you can just get a Technet subscription and get keys for most Microsoft software.

I'd go with a Western Digital hard drive over that Samsung. Get a 7200 rpm drive too, much faster. If you can spend a little more you should also get the new Nvidia GTX 260 video card ($200), it's a very fast card for the price (beats the Radeon 5870 in benchmarks).

Yeah, WD makes outstanding drives. I'm a huge fan of the Caviar Black, but any of them will work well for you. I think Newegg had the 2TB Green ones for 150.

I'd stay away from the 'Green' series unless you don't care about drive performance, they run at either 4800 or 5200 rpm as I recall. That is how they got the power savings into them.

I agree... going with the Western Digital drives would be your best bet. Pictures and data are sometimes irreplaceable, and WD drives have a good rep. I just picked up two 640gb wd caviar black's to run in raid-0 for 69.99 a piece. The 1TB drives were 89.99

just a side comment.
not really worth it to build ur own computer anymore unless your doing some highly customizable **** to it. once u factor in OS cost plus everything else its no longer cost effective like it was say 10 years ago.
