I'm looking to copy some DVDs to my computer/phone. Does anyone know of quality freeware that will export them into MPEG4 format? Output needs to be of good quality too. Thanks in advance.

handbrake is great. open source. converts to mpeg4.

+1 to handbrake. If you have the money +10 to dvdfab. Dvdfab makes it super easy. Handbrake requires more diligence.Comment

i've heard about handbreak but never used it. Does it also bypass the security on DVDs? I use commercial apps from Slysoft... CloneDVDMobile and AnyDVD.Comment

Yes it does, as long as you download VLC media player with it. Handbrake can integrate with VLC to read secure disks. This will allow you to convert any secure disks to MP4Comment
