Now you need to root it and install a custom ROM. I have Bugless Beast and Adamz mods on mine. I have the CPU overclocked to 900mhz (up from stock 550) 24/7, and the theme is very slick. Battery life is the same as stock, but it is so much quicker and smoother.Oh, and I have STD, so if any one wants it, come play with me!Comment

I love the droid.
Wait until you start playing with all the desktop replacements like GDE and all the fun stuff you can tweak it to do. the platform is so open, and there's so much cool stuff out there for it. Definately a fun thing to have. I barely even use mine to make calls - but I use it constantly.Comment

Just wait until Android 2.2 drops. We're talking up to 7x faster on the Droid without MODing. Android in reality is still in its infancy. The best is yet to come.
