    losing connection to game server

I play some online games on my pc and I can't seem to find a solution to why my connection to some servers keep getting disconnected. This happnes in Battlefield Heroes and in Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta. The disconnections happen every 5-10 mins and it really makes me mad. My ISP is Time Warner in the UCLA area. I use a ethernet cable. I don't notice any disconnections when I'm surfing the web, but I do notice that my AIM logs off/on every so often. I also do not get disconnections when playing other games, such as counterstrike, boarderlands, and warcraft 3.

Any idea on what is the problem, and how to fix it? I've tried resetting my modem to no avail.

    Thanks!

This happened to me a lot, but the issue for me was that my wireless adapter sucked pretty bad, and choked on the WPA encryption.

What kind of router do you have? It's possible that it can't handle the throughput of the games.

Could be that your punkbuster needs to be updated. Instructions for how to do this are online.
Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison

The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms. -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87 (Pearce and Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)
