iPhone question....

I acquired a 2g iphone & I dont like it so I was wondering if I could use it as an ipod. I was thinking of throwing some movies on it and using it when Im traveling. Does anyone have some knowledge on this please?

Yes you can use just as an ipod but that'll just be a waste.. The 2g is the 1st gen iphone. Get yourself the 3g or 3gs..

Thanx SM! I dont like the fact that I cant receive pic texts. Also the ear piece volume is super low and I can barley hear the incoming callers voice! (yes I have turned up the volume all the way)

Did you go and upgrade the phone? You can download any updates on the phone. I got a I phone from a buddy from work and it works great.

There was an iPhone software update last year that finally allowed pictures & videos via MMS texting. May just need to update the phones software to get that feature.

Ya, you need the 3.1.2 update to get picture messages. If you still don't like the 2G (too slow for me and I don't like the 1 piece screen) you could always sell it and buy a 3G or 3GS.
