Hey guys, I'm no expert with computers or networking and I have stumbled onto an issue. I have an old DSL modem/wireless router that only has one ethernet port. I don't use the wireless feature and I don't want to keep switching my ethernet cables from my pc port to my xbox port. What is my solution here? Will a newer modem/router make my connection run faster? Or should I seek another solution? Should I just buy router with more ports? Thanks...

Is it a plain DSL modem, or is it an actual router?
If the former, a simple switch probably won't help you, and you'll need to get a router. If the later, and if you have DHCP enabled on that router, a simple switch will do.
How old, exactly, is the modem?-- 09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0
