ipod touch upgrade woes, need help

Hello all,

Just updated my 2nd gen. Ipod Touch 32gb to software version 3.1.2, and now the home button will not turn off programs like it used to before software update.

Is there another way to turn off programs? Really sucks because some programs dont have a close or X button.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks...

If you hold down the home button for several seconds it should act as a "force-quit" if just a single press won't close the application. Try turning it off and turning it back on, see if the issue persists. If so, sync it up again, then do a restore and copy your data back onto the device.
