    Help me pick a domain

I'm looking for a .com for my fishing game site. Someone help me out. It's an old game that you can't find or buy anywhere anymore. I just want to put all the files the author made available before he dropped off the plant on a site.

The game is called Scaryfish. the problem is that name has been registered to some idiot that's been trying to sell the domain for 6 years. So what should I name it? I was thinking like scaryfishrelived or scaryfishworld but those are way too long. Maybe something with just SF(something), hard because there are a ton of San Fran sites, or Scary(something)?

Any ideas? I'm not creative at all.

    Thanks,
    CH

Go to a domain registrar and type in scaryfish, even though scaryfish.com is not available, it should give you some suggestion on what is available.

for example, these are all available:
    scaryfish.info
    scaryfish.net
    scaryfish.org
    scaryfish.me
    scaryfish.mobi
    scaryfish.us
    scaryfish.biz
    thescaryfish.com
    myscaryfish.com
    scaryfishonline.com
    newscaryfish.com
    scaryfishnow.com
    scaryfishstore.com
    bestscaryfish.com
    scaryfishblog.com

      scaryfish.co.ck

Yes, .ck is a real TLD.

I don't know why but I always think sites that arn't .com are just BS, so I tend to want .com.

            Thanks,

Having a .com is not appropriate since you are not a company. You see there is a reason there are many different TLDs.

I understand what you’re saying but back from the beginning you could tell a scam site, or know you had a better chance of popups, or getting a virus, or its second rate by the domain. I have a ton of domains I'll never even use I'm sure because they are .info/.net etc.

It's like going to a meeting and seeing a guy in a suit or tie, it's not necessary and depending on the meeting it might not even be all that appropriate, but we tend to feel the other person is more legit when they do it(not in all situations, but most).

                    Thanks,
                    CH

How about Scaryfish24.com CH, or even Scary24.com? They include the version, and seem to be available.

                        That might just work.

That just like saying you can spot a criminal by the color of their skin.
