    How to delete Copilot?

So there was an update for Edge and I reluctently did it. Then it installed this stupid AI Copilot app.

Theres allready too much invasion of privacy and I really dont want anymore of it.

Does anyone know how to uninstall Copilot? Ive tried, looked around for any information and checked all kinds of chat rooms and it seems that once its on your computer, you cant get rid of it.

    Thanks for any help.

I am beginning to really dislike Edge for many reasons, time to go to Dissenter or another browser. The conundrum is transferring all your passwords etc. that we all have.

Sorry, I still have Windows 10 on my last remaining Microsoft box (I refuse to upgrade to Win11)

      Fdisk, Reformat, Install Linux?
Microsoft is just going to get even more intrusive .... you already know it.

I think I may get to the point of transfering my data I need to a external hard drive and completely resetting my laptop. This stuff is just to annoying.

Follow the instructions in this discussion. Note that the second answer is by "Bing" (microsoft search engine), LOL.

Windows is now worse than Android with all the crap bloatware out of the box nobody asked for. Very unprofessional and frustrating.

True enough, and 95% of what I do is just with a browser. MSFT is killing it's business with this BS. I'm surprised we haven't converted at work. It's the same story - Office, or a lookalike, and a browser is all we use. We would save a ton of money and auditing hassle if we dumped windoze.

Ask CoPilot how to uninstall itself.

I tried that, It said it was sorry to hear that I didn't want it to 'assist' me. Then it said if I post another message to it I agree to Microsoft's terms of service, and did not give me the method to delete it. That's when I went searching for how to de-activate/delete 'HAL-9000'.

Thankfully, Bing came to the rescue for someone else.

Never ever store your passwords in your browser! If your browser gets hacked, the hacker then gets all your passwords.

My recommendation is to stop using Edge. There are a lot of other browsers out there both Chrome and Firefox based. Edge is based on Chrome so picking another browser based on Chrome might work for you. Brave is based on Chrome. I recommend Waterfox and LibreWolf which are both based on Firefox. Firefox itself is also good at protecting your privacy if you turn on strict mode.

Once you pick a new browser, go into your default app settings and select your new default browser.

Taking it out of the registry is jjst disableing it. There really dosent look like a way to remove it.

I dont have any password saved, anywhere but in my head.
