Broken iPad screen

Is it possible to connect a USB hub to the iPad to use a pc screen and keyboard and mouse with a broken iPad screen?

Repair cost is higher than the value of the iPad. I don't know what to do with it.

The question not answered is will the iPad automatically start displaying on the external screen?

The Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter is also compatible with iPad. This adapter can output video from iPad Pro and iPad Air (5th generation) up to 4K resolution and 60Hz,* while iPad Air (4th generation) and iPad mini (6th generation) can output video up to 4K resolution and 30Hz.
Your iPad can output Dolby Digital Plus audio streams via HDMI, but not Dolby Atmos. Also note that your iPad will play HDR10 or Dolby Vision content via HDMI when HDMI 2.0 adapters that support these formats become available.

Is the screen partially useable? Enough to plug into itunes on the computer and type security code to automatically backup the IPAD?

nope, it was dropped and landed on the corner. it's bent upper right near the rear camera. it charges but doesn't light up. screen isn't cracked, the frame is.

Yes there are Bluetooth adapters and lightning to HDMI adapters.

1st gen though? Man at work we recycle everything up to 4th gen now and even up to 6th gen aren?t super useful for a lot of things. You might just want to toss it or give it a merciful .223 send off.
