    Gmail - Completely blocking sender?

Have an issue with a Company not unsubscribing my Gmail address and continuing to send product solicitations. Tried blocking their address but the emails are just routed to Spam. Is there not a way to completely block these emails?

Why you trying to block them?
They’re just taking a minute to talk to you about your cars extended warranty.
    Jk

If it’s getting in your spam folder, you can easily empty it’s ENTIRE contents with the click of a button rather than individually like in the main inbox.

      From your email overlords...

Can you permanently block a sender in Gmail?

You can use the Gmail blocking (sent to Spam) or a filter (sent to Trash) but you can't prevent delivery to the account. There are no options to fully block e-mail. You can use the Gmail blocking (sent to Spam) or a filter (sent to Trash) but you can't prevent delivery to the account.

A lot of email tracking is with images

I have display images turned off on all my yahoo accounts

Unless I look at images, they don't get notified that email was read

At least that is my understanding

              Yep.

I was getting bombarded on one of my email accounts... daily I would 'block sender' , 'mark as junk' - every combo of one, or the other, or both... dozens of emails daily...

Never even opening the email - they kept coming...

Went to account settings, turned off images - and now I rarely get junk email at that address (a few, that go straight to junk folder).

I did the image off thing after researching solutions out of desperation. It either worked, or the current limited spam is a coincidence. Either way, I probably jinxed it by posting this
