    Old tech in TV shows

Watching Outer Limits S1E1. All the techie stuff on the control panel includes an IBM 407 control panel. Looks impressive to the unknowing.

You have to be an old fart to know the 407.

See John Wick movie with the back office scene using 80s tech, including an actual IBM typewriter.

And a Commodore 64 was used to enter the bounty put on John Wick's head, in the second movie I think?

The IBM Selectric was a sweet bit of kit.

                That was a VIC-20!

That?s what I learned to type with in high school. I took typing class because it was an easy course and I was lazy. Who knew typing would be a valuable skill to have 20 years later?

Don't know if this counts, but Tom Corbett: Space Cadet used retractable tethered "microphones" that were repurposed spray nozzles for portable dishwashers.

I liked the old Smith Corona Portable manual typewriter I used at the university. At that time. Wouldn't touch it today.
