    Insta 360 X3-Any helpful tips?

Just bought an X3 bundle from Costco. Extra battery, invisible selfie stick, lens protector. Overkill for what I?m doing. No crazy action videos, but the 360 feature looks interesting. Going to attach it to my wheelchair to make travel videos.

Anyone have one? Thoughts and suggestions?

I use a variety of Gorpros but don't have any experience with the Insta stuff. If you go to youtube and look up FPV drone videos you will see a lot of tips and tricks for the Insta360 stuff. You aren't flying in your wheelchair (though that would be awesome to have a flying wheelchair with a camera on it) they do go over a lot of the technical stuff for the cameras and accessories as well as video editing.

It doesnt cost over $1k so already better there.

It also takes 360 videos so better than traditional one side lens cameras.

For OP there are a few videos on youtube about how to setup the camera to get good video with minimal post editing.

Make sure to also download the insta video editing app (you have to provide serial# to even download it) it will allow you to easily edit the videos and even setup what angles you want the footage to be output in if you dont want to keep it full 360 all the time. (This helps reduce video file size for uploading)

Thanks for your input. Not flying in my wheelchair, although that would be cool. Since my original post I've been watching YouTube videos. There is a lot of content, but almost all of the creators have heavy foreign accents. Even the guys from the UK are difficult to understand at times. Some have great technical content, but I can't understand what they are saying. Gives me a headache.

Even the Americans are tough to watch. I can't set aside the fact they look and act like a bunch of tiktok libtards. I was hoping to find some action pistol, SSA, or 3-gun videos in 360.

The cameras on iPhones and Androids are probably better for single lens stuff. GoPro and digital SLR's are also better. The Insta 360 X3 is a different animal.

The Insta 360 can record video with both the front and back lens simultaneously in 5.7K at 30 frames per second. It captures everything around you and removes the selfie stick from the image so it looks like the camera is flying. Great for action videos of people on bikes, surfboards, skiis, hang-gliders, road racing, flying, etc. An old guy rolling down the street in a wheelchair could be just as exciting? Who knows.

Having fun learning about 360 videos and the Insta app. I'm attaching it to my wheelchair. Going to visit places around town and make some fun videos to share with friends and family. Trying to figure out how to incorporate into some shooting videos. Starting out with airsoft in the back yard.

Yea, firearm relating 360 videos is lacking. But that is probably more to do with the fact that most went gopro or other such single lens setup in the beginning when 360 wasnt available. And now they dont want to xhange since it would cost lots of money to change gear, equipment and video editing process/software.

I do hope to use my 360 rs one the next time im out at the range as a test.(most likely next year) I have zero videography skills and so it will be super boring to watch a and i also dont have super operator skills so no crazy run and gun sequences will be done. But hopefully it can be the start of something to recording my range days. Hope my memory card will be big enough. Got a 256gb card.

Majority of the snippets from my 2022 collage was captured with the Insta360 X2...

                Enjoy shooting 360!!!

The 360 is a great camera. I have several Insta360 models. My son and grand kids use them so I can throw together videos for the family. Snow skiing and off roading are what mine are mainly used for. I use the Go 2 & 3 for shooting videos.

Nice. Thanks for the video. Gives me some ideas. Still playing around with mounting with the selfie stick to get the best shots.
