Need enlightenment from fellow Calgunners please.
My son passed away suddenly.
My question is what will happen to his small Instagram account. I want to save it for as long as I can. There are few selfies, mostly his Challenger and ball python. Much appreciated. Hug your love ones

For Instagram there is an archiving setting in the app that allows you to save the high res and photos back to your phone. I haven't used it so I'm not 100% sure how it works. If you can get them to your phones image library you can easily copy them off to a computer.

You can save web pages with your web browser. Hit Ctrl + S or click on File --> Save and then save the page. If the download fails most browser will let you click on a button to retry the download. Often the 2nd try will get it to fully download.

A saved web page is just a temporary measure as they are usually tied to the browser that saved them. When you update the browser code, old page save may not work anymore. Once the page is saved, you can go to the save location and go to the folder created to grab images.

Another option is to print the page. When print page dialog comes up change from your printer to a PDF document. That will save the page as a PDF.

I'm sorry for you loss.

Facebook/Instagram has a process that can be used by a family member to turn a deceased person's account into a memorial account or to delete the account.

Sorry for your loss. I have another suggestion like SactoDoug but use the snipping tool to highlight the part you want and save as an image file.
