    Which came first?

The rainbow pride movement or the plethora of RGB lighting in PCs?

Oddball lighting schemes have been in PC's for years, especially the high-end gaming rigs.

My PC has a single, small blue power LED and a blue light for my active C:/ drive. The CD/DVD drive has a small green LED. No fancy/schmancy stuff here.

Thought for sure it was the chicken or the egg question in which my response would have "Of course the rooster came first"

Well, I wasn?t buying for color but new build has:

3 blue fans in front of case
        1 blue fan on top
Mobo has a row of colored LEDs with changeable patterns
RAM has colored LEDs on top edge with changeable patterns
Water pump had programmable digital readout. CPU temp, GIF, etc
Power supply has fan with LEDs that are changeable
Power supply has digital readout on side with power, fan speed, temp.
Case has glass side so I can see all the rainbows.

I would believe gamer PCs came first

I built a gamer spec'd PC but have an old style heavy New Model M with lights for caps, num, and scroll only

Dr. Google says the Rainbow flag was created in 1978. Blue LED's weren't readily available until the early 90's.

I'm old enough to remember when rainbows were just rainbows.

There used to be a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Now it's just some hairy guy's butt.

I don't like all the RGB PC LEDs for 'looks'. I don't show my rig off. I also don't like that the front panel controls on the cases are now mostly on top. I don't like the lack of front external drive bays. It's all ghey.
