    KVM Switch Experience?

Is anyone using a dual monitor KVM switch? I am shopping for one but I am a bit hesitant right now because most of them have mixed reviews.

Are there any features I should look for? If you have had a good experience, please post which switch you have.

I'm using this one, it has been very good. I've had good luck with other IOgear products too.

Just get Startech. I’ve used a ton of these things on desktops and server racks and it seems the only ones worth a crap are Startech

I don't generally have problems with KVM switches. They usually work well. Just make sure the ports are up to whatever standard are needed for whatever you're plugging in (USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1...etc.).

Think I have a couple of PS2 keyboard/mouse and 9 pin VGA units around here someplace. Also a couple of roller ball mice. No keyboards or CRTs though.

i went the cheaper route and used 2x video switches (one for hdmi, another for displayport) and a usb based switch (3 into 2).
yes i have 3 buttons to press to switch but i do have an extra bluetooth keyboard and extra mice i can use so i can multi-task and split the monitor across 2 machines.
