    Verizon Wireless Internet

Anyone running this? We just switched over to it. I'm going to set it up tonight. If anyone is running it what are your thoughts? Anything I should know?

I was going to but we have a business account. It was like 25 bucks for personal and $400 for business. Still waiting for starlink but we have little issue with hotspots from our phones for tv.

Let us know if you like your new box. We don’t have Internet options in the woods up here.

We took it a chance on it for $25/mo and free modem.

We’re in a good spot for a signal. Works OK. Not always as fast as promised. Streams everything so far. It does drop the connection for a second or two periodically and not long enough to affect streaming. Our cell devices do the same thing. Annoying but not a problem.

We’ll probably keep it until they jack the price or add data limits.

      214.68
      UPLOAD Mbps

I live in a somewhat rural area. They promise me itll still be fast. I like the no contract aspect.

Well how did it do? Inquiring minds want to know if it works out.

One of my close friends tried it in their newly purchased home where they had great Verizon cell service, but found the internet speeds to be much slower than that of Xfinity. Verizon modem/wireless router was returned less than 30 days in and they went for Xfinity.

Verizon is sucking balls right now. HARD. My company has about 2000 phones on Verizon. We use Verizon cell service for internet on these mobile jobsite workstations I build. They have been dropping offline like crazy over the past month or so. They have dual SIMs so I constantly have to flip them over to the backup provider (T-Mobile). Everyone has been complaining about their service dropping.

Not sure what is going on but Verizon has been sucking lately. Costing us a lot of time and money. Their 5G is even worse. Not reliable at all. Tops out at about 200 megs throughput but usually drops anyway so who cares.

I've always had Verizon on several different company phones I've had over the past decade. 10 years ago, they were great. In recent years, I found my personal phone (T-Mobile) to be more reliable in terms of cell-service, dropped called, etc. My company utilizes 1000s of their mobile hot spots; we also have tons of outages (almost monthly), and I can only imagine poor how their "home internet service" is.

Had an issue with my desk top connecting at first but replaced the wireless plug in adapter (my rig is old) and now it's working great. I'm not super tech savvy so I don't know how fast it's actually running but I've had no issues watching videos or playing games. Seems to be a little faster than Frontier. For $25 a month I'm happy with it. Plus we got Netflix, Disney and Hulu free with it so my wife canceled those subscriptions. We are actually saving a lot of money because of switching.

Maybe I can buy a new gun!

For now, I am stuck with the Verizon MiFi hotspot. The home internet service with the built in router 5G or LTE, is not available in my area according to their website. My MiFi uses their LTE service, so I really don't know why the other service isn't available. My MiFi does alright, but we burn through the 15 gigs pretty quick.
