    MSN Flight Simulator PC

Standard Version Storage - Web page states that 130 GB storage required. That seems extremely extreme. Anyone have this application and can comment constructively ? None of our household laptops could accommodate this. Not even sure if that is downloadable. - thank

Decades ago we had the Combat flight simulator with Frys snap together PC, Win 98, AMD cpu, etc No mega card, graphics etc. Is standard new version thing really that monster large ?

Gaming software can be very large. 130 GB is smaller than a couple of programs that I have in this genre.
Verify the hardware you want to use will support the program.

Yup, that looks to be right. You may need to allocate even more. Multi-TB drives are the norm these days.

Most of the space should come from 'art'. Think about how massive certain pictures and videos can get, depending on the resolution right? Images are really, really bad at compression, so the more detailed the terrain gets, the more size you need to dedicate to it.

You should be able to find an SSD to dedicate to this for like 40 bucks on Amazon. Storage these days is CHEAP.

MS Flight Sim uses a large amount of data for all of the geographic topography and imagery. As said above, 130gb seems kind of small.

New SSD 250 GB about $35 and swap out 4k for 8K RAM another $45 ? Cant even use the search on Newegg or Amazon. Its all mindless endless promotions and bull****. Simple search is corrupted and useless. I miss DOS and floppies. Maybe I can find a win98 2003 version on a DVD to slap in. Thanks for the advice.

I have the "premium edition" and my fspacks folder is 230GB

I dedicated a 1TB SSD for this and DCS.

I have a game called ARK:Survival Evolved and it takes up 646 GB including the mods I use.

              Games are absurd any more.
