    VPN. New to this

    I need a VPN for travel.
    Please explain to me the procedure.
    Do i launch the VPN first and then connect to free or hotel wi-fi ?
    or do you log in to free WI-Fi and then launch VPN. This does not sound correct to me.

    New to this.
    Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
    I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.
