Recommendations for an inexpensive WordPress web designer

I want to move my website from a higher-cost "boutique" company that proivdes the theme and hosting, to a lower-cost hosting company like InMotion.

Any recs on a WordPress website designer who can emulate an existing website of mine? It's nothing fancy, but the theme is likely proprietary to the current hosting company, so I'll need someone who is knowledgable and can access a similar themes.

I don't care if they're in India or Bangladesh or wherever. I imagine I could look on Fiverr but there's probably hundreds, so if someone has done this and can recommend an inexpensive person to accomodate this, would be much appreciated.

You should care. Wordpress isn't a fire and forget application. If you're going to spin up a self-hosted Wordpress instance, you better be spending time on regular maintenance as the framework it relies on (PHP) and the software itself has security updates regularly. If you have someone spin it up for you, you better understand everything they use to build the Wordpress site, especially any plugins, as Wordpress plugins are one of the main ways WP sites get compromised.

You should just go with SaaS (e.g., Squarespace) so you get most of the security maintenance handled by the provider.

I have to respectfully disagree. All he seems to need is a managed WP environment and the existing site migrated over.

RB, I do this all the time (mostly moving Squarespace, Wix and other garbage site builders to WP sites). PM me if you'd like to discuss your project.

      Regards,

Thanks for the input, guys. I decided to bump this down on my list of priorities for now as I have bigger fish to fry.
