Trying to figure out what connecter I need to connect my scanner to the spider.

My bridge connection has quick disconnects both ends. Look on Smapazon no clue.

Secondarily, any one known where to get one of these mini antennas (lower) off my P71?

You need an adapter. I can't see what the connectors are but if you get a clear picture of the antenna connectors on both your radio and your antenna, we should be able to figure out what you need.

Question is, why change your antenna? Not like you're going to carry that spider around with you.

Diamond makes some great antennas for mobile radios. You just need to figure out what band you want to optimize.

The radio end of that cable is BNC. The antenna end is PL-259.

I am not familiar wiht PL-259, but I saw on initial image something "ring" as BNC.
Are they 50 or 75 Ohm impedance?

I'm not sure about that exact model of antenna but all other antennas I have used have the radials facing downward, not upward as shown in the picture.

Pretty much anything HAM radio should be 50 Ohm
PL-259 is also called UHF connector.
