Audio visual guys help!

We have a audio/visual problem at our church. We do teleconferences once a week and we consistently have issues with feedback, background noise when people call in, etc. currently, we have someone call in to the conference at the church, put a mic in front of it to amplify, and then each row of pews has its own mic so that everyone can hear.

is the audio coming in from a land line or cell phone? can you get a bluetooth DAC that can plug directly into the mixing board? In theory the audio should be crystal clear with no chance for external interference
