    New phone problem

New unlocked Galaxy S22+ from Amazon. I have not inserted the new SIM card yet.

Using the Galaxy/Android process I transferred all my stuff from my old S10+ to the S22+.

While on wifi I can browse the internet with no problem. But trying to send email I get this error:
    Unable to send email
Update security settings to use account xxx@xxxx.xxx

I have no idea where that setting is. I compared the email settings on the S10+ and S22+. Email address, domain/username, Exchange server, port, use SSL. All the same. I use GoDaddy for email. They use Exchange 365 and MAPI.

I removed the SIM from the S10+ and it sent email via wifi just fine.

I don’t want to port my phone number to the new phone until I have it all set up.

    Ideas?

Solved it. For some reason the phone wanted the Mail app as a device admin app. I did not because the permissions list is huge. It can wipe the phone, etc, etc.

Checking the old phone Mail was a device admin app.

So I gave up and allowed it. Sends mail by wifi with no problem.

Phone and iPad are now on PureTalk at less than 1/2 the Verizon charges.
