    Post Your 5G Cellular Speeds

Just trying to get an idea of actual numbers across carriers:

    Mine:

T-Mobile 5G (UC), band 66, 2.1 GHz, three towers in handshake, avg. signal quality -91 db/m.

This is all, currently, AWS band: midband, like VZ C-Band or ATT 3.4 GHz, and T-Mobile has some actual C-Band, too. T-Mobile will also switch on NRCA (frequency aggregation) in the next quarter which will combine NR frequencies (low+mid) or LTE+NR in midband-only, which should double speeds, but may require 4x MIMO. TBD.

    1st Device: iPhone SE 3 (2022) - 500 Mbps (2x MIMO)

    2nd Device: iPhone 13 (2022, my daughter’s) - 750 Mbps (4x MIMO)

AT&T, iPhone 13 Pro, WiFi off, shows 5G, full bars.
    Using Fast.com I only show 1.5 Mbps.

    Using SpeedTest.net I get 250 Mbps.

That cold be throttling by AT&T since Netflix is a competitor to their U-Verse service.

If you want to get the connection info for the iPhone, go into field-test mode:

      Dial *3001#12345#*

      Thanks!

Just curious. Do you get mmWave in many places or is it limited to very high density areas?

High density areas. That speed was in Santa Monica

Cool. If you happen to get a speed test in C-Band, please post it up for comparison.

                        Thanks!

FYI, “5Ge” is ATT code for LTE. It’s not running a full NR stack.
