I banished the annoying audio control pop-up once, but now it's back.
The popup appears when I use my keyboard volume or mute buttons.
It can't be disabled entirely, but minimized to just a small volume box instead of the real estate grabbing control box. I've got it set to 5 seconds, but even that is annoying - especially if the cursor is hovering over the box, which extends the AudioBox visibility.
