whats a free PDF form filler that actually works and is actually free?

hard mode: actually works, actually free.

My boss has a crappy PDF grid for me to fill out payroll. Not "fillable boxes" just a grid so I need to mouse to space and type in some text.

They got Open Sores CAD programs nearly as good as $4000 SolidWorks....that actually work and actually free.

WTF no working free PDF filler app? Don't feel like pay $29.95 month and worry about Credit Card scams.

Question: What do the OTHER employees do??? Boss says they come into the office (60+mile round trip for most) and fill out a paper version he will print out "on the spot, real easy". He seems to think that is comfy or something.

would something like www.pdfescape.com work for your needs? But I think you need to scan a form or something and then you can add fill-able boxes, drop down menus or whatever.

I guess "almost" is subjective but does seem to be ABLE to do everything SW does for a normal person, just doesn't look as slick and IMO the method of creating new part files/projects is very clunky.

But seems like same basic operations and same number of clicks and steps for any task.

Main issue I've heard about watching training youtubes is awkward to impossible import of other files.

just needed something where I can drag, enter some text, rinse repeat.

doesn't seem to have any HANDY copy/paste feature within but I can get repeat text "loaded" on my cursor and just do it that way, and that is plenty good enough for me for now.

For some reason I just can't PDF worth a darn.
