stop win 10 update when in use

how do i stop win 10 from downloading updates in the back round while i am using th computer ? i do have my active hours set from 8 am to 8 pm......but it still updates in the backround causing whatever i am doing to slow down. this is a major pain.

Run the updates yourself and it won't happen. How often are you doing it?

It has a schedule , advanced options, active hours, etc
Or stop the service

was not aware i could stop it and run manually.......i will check. thxx

i keep task manager running and sometimes manually kill the processes
