    QR codes

Saw an ad for flowcode.com for a 'free' QR. I got one. What I don't like is it takes you to flowcode.com which then redirects you to the actual site.

Did more research and found a site that would create a QR from your data and the QR took you directly to your site.

Granted the flowcode QR allows a custom image in the center but that is it.

So, what type of info is flowcode.com possibly collecting beside the URL?

Heres a crap video loaded with business lingo. I still don't know what it does. My company uses QR codes extensively. Every piece of material that leaves the fab facility has one that gets scanned in the field and a 3D model comes up and shows exactly where it is to go in a building. Cool stuff. These round codes seem like a gimmick. There was a company that came to us a few weeks back that sold rolls of pre printed QR codes you can map to whatever you want. Why would I want that? I can put whatever info I want in my own QR code. Why drive someone to their site first only to go to my site? Seems fishy. We told them to leave.

The ability to generate a QR code can make you popular with family and friends given the current state of covid BS. It looks Greek to me, but is more simple than I originally thought.

        QR codes can be dangerous.
