Macbook Ad Blocker Recommendation

I searched, but couldn't find anything.

I need a good ad blocker, free would be ideal, but also willing to pay a fee if it works really good. My primary goal is to block Youtube ads so I can enjoy Youtube again without the ads all over the place.

Any recommendations?

I tried Wipr, and it worked for a bit, then stopped working.

I have good luck with Adblock using the Brave browser (firefox too, IIRC) on my macbook. Mac OS 10.14.

Just bought a new computer and stated using Safari again. Adblock doesn't work on that computer. I haven't tried changing browsers yet.

I tried Adblock on my MacBook running Safari and I couldn't get it to work, I guess I should try a different browser.

Try Adguard for Safari. I was using Adblock for a long time but it was losing its effectiveness at nuking certain YouTube ads. Adguard has been 100% for a few months now using the default rules. It's free.

1Blocker is very effective and even blocks ads on YouTube again.

Both AdBlockPlus and Ghostery Lite work perfectly on my Mac Book.

I've been running adblock plus on my Air for the past 11 years. I use chrome to browse and it works like a champ.
