    CP, the Z5 when I bought it was $999 during a Nikon rebate. The camera is great all around for video and photo. It handles sports well at high shutter speeds and low F stops. Where it falls apart is low light high action photography.

    I shot a high school football game at dusk and all the action shots suffered from the jelly effect due to a lack of shutter.

      If you don't need the speed, the Z5 will probably do you well. If you're into sports and action photography especially in less than great lighting, you'd have to go with a Z9 or a mirrored DSLR.
