I just noticed a very faint thin dark line running in the full length of the second 2/3 's of my HP Laptop 15".. Did I just loose a pixel or should I start looking around? She is just over 4 years and a inexpensive toy..

If its full length thats not just a dead pixel thats a whole row. In my experience its usually due to a loose cable internally or the panel has gone bad. If you want to take it apart you can press all the connections back together and see if it helps. A failing graphics card will do things like that too but its usually more than one line and they are different colors.vindicta inducit ad salutem? -
If you really want to go through the trouble you can try plugging it into an external monitor and see if those lines replicate. If they do, it’s probably a GPU or motherboard issue, if they don’t, it could be an internal video cable issue. You could run a diagnostics test in the BIOS and see if it comes up with an error. Otherwise, you could start looking for another laptop.Comment
