                      Can one keep their domain registered with GoDaddy and use the MX records to point email to another provider?

                              Office 365 can do IMAP, but you would not want that since does not do 2FA. I suggest google workspace!

                                  Its 5! rackspace has a decent plan, also A2 hosting does cpanel and email!

                                      I moved from GoDaddy to Zohomail, got tired of constant price increases and diminishing services for that money. Zoho works very well and is cheaper.
                                      DiaHero Foundation - helping people manage diabetes. Sending diabetes supplies to Ukraine now, any help is appreciated.

                                          Yes. You just list your new provider's MX records instead of Godaddy's in your DNS zone.

                                              O365 IMAP can be utilized with 2FA either via client certificates, or via OAuth 2.0, but for OAuth you need to set up a proxy on an Azure VM to utilize third-party software:
