Emulate an older version of windows? Did you download an ISO or was it through a digital distribution?

Missed that part. Did you get any error messages or is it just crashing when you try to run it?

I'll wait til you post error logs, before commenting.

The Sims 2 is another game that's really tough to get working right (even temporarily) on Win 10.

            What I recommend:

For older games, Win10 generally SUX. I have older, WinXP, and Win7 machines for running older games. This was my "fix" for "The Sims 2".

            You can try the following:

WinXP service pack 2 compatibility mode.
            Run as Administrator.
            Run in 2D mode.

            This MIGHT help:
Icy Veins provides detailed builds, guides, and news for Diablo 2 Resurrected for all classes: amazon, assassin, barbaria, druid, necromancer, paladin, sorceress.

            Good luck.

This is along the lines that Dragunov recommended, but add the following:

                - Windows 98 / ME

                or

                - Windows XP Service Pack 3

                (try both)

                4. Tick the box 'Run in 256 colours'
                5. Tick the box 'Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution'
                6. Tick the box for 'Disable desktop composition'
                7. Tick the box for 'Run this program as an administrator'
                - Click Apply, Click OK.

D2 and D3 definitely can run on Win 10. I bought a laptop just for playing Windows games & it runs fine on that. Mind you, this was a clean install of Win 10.

I also found something that suggested running the program in windowed mode rather than full screen.
