Question for you computer guru's on wireless connecting

I just installed windows 7 in an old laptop and I cannot connect to the internet, I can connect to my wifi but all I get is "unidentified network".

    What I have done.

Power cycled the modem, muliple times

Unplugged the wireless mesh network , all points and the router

Even brought the computer over to my neighbors house and connected to his network no problem.

    And here's a screenshot.

In a state where corruption abounds, laws must be very numerous.
    Publius Cornelius Scipio

Tyranny is defined as that which is legal for the government but illegal for the citizenry.
    ― Thomas Jefferson

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

      I wouldn't mess with a dead OS...
      It's a year past expiry...

You can use your Win7 code on Win 10, usually.

I use Windows 7 in a virtual machine so I can run one legacy software product, but make sure I have no Internet access. I would not operate a computer using Windows 7 for anything accessing the Internet.
