Stop Using Mozilla - they want deplatforming

If you use Mozilla, as I did, it is time to delete it.

Even though their corporate motto is We work to ensure the internet remains a public resource that is open and accessible to all.

you can read it on their twitter page https://twitter.com/mozilla

Their CEO recently penned an article called "We need more than deplatforming"

Obviously they don't want to live up to their corporate motto so I can no longer user their browser. When you uninstall, there is an option to tell them why. I switched to Brave https://brave.com/download/ and Dissenter https://dissenter.com/download

I built a Windows PC under Windows 10, use GOOGLE search, use a GOOGLE Android phone, have AMAZON Echo and Alexa. My son has OCULUS vr which uses FACEBOOK.
No matter what you abandon, and choose, you will likely find that they have links to entities we don't like or will be using components made in China.

Just learned about Firefox going woke on No Agenda podcast. Adam Curry recommended Brave web browser too. Going to try it out now.

Actually, I will continue to use the Firefox browser, because it is F/OSS and thus auditable. The Mozillians don't dare try to plant a back door because that would get discovered pretty quickly (being F/OSS) and would destroy them among all the lefties who use it. They don't dare alienate their core audience...some of which are their biggest funders. Mitchell Baker knows this, too.

Firefox + NoScript remains probably the most secure browser setup accessible to mere mortals.

I am using brave on my Androids, as the new Firefox for Android is horrible, if you want to "switch multiple tabs quickly", like I am fond of....

Use Lynx, or wget everything manually.

Brave was okay on the PC, but Firefox is best.
I understand M$ tracks if you login to M$ account in Win, via Edge or IE, via associated e-mail.
I watched a hacker conference reference Safari and iPhones and iPads, so they can track you by your iCloud/Applecare e-mail associated.
Conotical tries to track in their Linux distros e-mail addy, if you use one.

I just use Firefox to login to PRIVATE Windows (for gmail and such), as Firefox does not save your e-mail/password combo in Private windows, unlike Chrome.
Lately I've been trying out the FREE DNS over HTTPS in Firefox, and it is pretty good.

Android and Linux have so many browsers, and/or derivatives, most n00bz head's would spin, and they'd spit pea soup.

Should check out LibreWolf. It's a fork of firefox where they concentrate on privacy and taking out all the Mozilla "phone home" stuff. Still compatible with addons like NoScript and Privacy Badger. Updates pretty quickly from FireFox stable.

I recently switched to Privacy Browser for my Android browser. Really liking it so far.
                      Privacy Browser on Play Store
                      Privacy Badger on F-Droid

Internet when it came out was Browsing pages, Email, FTP and Usenet.

Instead of Browsing pages and posting comments, use the Usenet for discussion boards, which what it was made to do. Instead of FF, Chrome or Edge, you use a NewsReader to read and post comments. Usenet readers do not share the same servers as Google, Amazon, etc .

Usenetserver.com provides access to Usenet news groups and NNTP feeds for business and private use.

We might see a shift to Usenet in the future.

I also dumped fire fox for Brave. The change over has gone well and I am already accustomed to the way things are done with Brave. I don't use any other social media - so nothing to dump on that end..
