Is there a nice small flashlight -

Looking for a reliable small (AA or so, type) flashlight for wife's purse.

Price range (if possible) $30-$50, with around 250 LM

No parasitic drain would be a huge +, If not, a nice tail cap, that will let you back it off, to achieve this, is OK.

As always, thank you in advance, CG members

Would a 18650 battery powered flashlight suit your needs? If so look at the wuben L50. Its got every feature you listed and its around $27-$32. Ive been using mine almost daily for over three years now

Used a small streamlight, but about 5 years ago I got a pelican 1910. Single AAA, tail click and pocket clip. Perfect EDC light.

I work nights and have multiple flashlights, headlights and such... but by far the one I use the most, the one I use everyday is a streamlight pen light & it I'm pretty sure that it checks almost all of your boxes including the one that you didn't have as it is USB rechargable... though it may be a slight bit taller than you are looking for, that is just going to make it easier for her to find in her purse

Check out Teralux if you want to use regular batteries. Fenix if you want a large selection of rechargeable.

And get her a good headlamp from Fenix. Not having to hold the light can be priceless.

I just got one of these the other week, as a low-light option (5/180 lumens) for my belt - slides right into the webbing. Should work perfect in a purse.

$30-$35 Streamlight Microstream USB 250 Lumens

This is what I carry everyday, plenty bright. Super slim and light. USB chargeable keeps me from having to buy more batteries. I charged it mid July and it’s still going strong. I can also clip it to the bill of my baseball cap and go hands free if I’m working in the garage.

Streamlight makes a couple that IMHO are the best out there.

Klarus mi7, It uses AA or 14500. 300 lumens on AA, 700 lumens on 14500.

                        Or get a Coast hp1.

Oh, and I wouldn't get anything from Maglight. There is so much better out there. Fenix, Olight, etc.

I carry the klarus mini 1 Ti on a key chain for the last couple of years. Only 130 lm though. Has not failed me.
