    Home network question...

I've got a Netgear P7000 modem which all of a sudden stopped listing items on the network...not all items but 3 or 4. I've rebooted, power cycled, and factory reset the box with no success.

Is my router toasted, or if not what am I missing.

    Tks ahead of time.

What do you mean by stopped listening to? Hardwired or WiFi? If WiFi did you tell your wireless devices to forget your WiFi network and try to reconnect?

If the item has had a software update. it could reset the connection and not connect.

Verify that the devices are connected to your router/network. Sounds like they are not connected. Maybe the devices are turned off? Or, maybe your router is dual band and those 3-4 devices are connected to the other radio (band). Check both on the router.

Listing items such as devices? Netbios names?

I would check the radios on the router. If some devices are 5Ghz range and the others 2.4Ghz exclusively, you may have a busted radio that stopped. Try and isolate the type of devices that stopped connecting.

Check for firmware updates for the router. I get about 2 years from a router now days...
