I have a number of circuits with Spectrum, some used to be TWBC...etc.
I do not use their consumer/residential services. But since Covid, like many carriers, they have capacity issues. I do not think the residential circuit has a guarantee of speed. I may be incorrect since they became Spectrum.

Spectrum residential service has been fine for me; they over-promised on some channel availability, but we got that straightened out.

Getting 110 mbps down, 11 up, as promised.

We've had the service just a year, so no idea about future prices.

Ive been spectrum custie for six years and love their service. Before spectrum i had att uverse and when it came to speeds, spectrum was faster. i suggest you buy a router for it will pay for itself before the contract expires.

Huge improvement over AT&T, but like all other providers the price still keeps going up.

Unless you have no other options, why would you still be using DSL? Go cable or fiber optic.

Spectrum regular price currently is 69.99 with tax. No idea about future plans. But has been 69.99 for a few years at least. Internet only.

I've had Spectrum internet/cable for several years and I'm happy with it. I have no idea what it costs because I signed up for direct pay and I never look at my online statement.
I use the internet a lot and Spectrum is very fast, much faster than when I had Verizon.

Completely dependent on your area. Spectrum is great where I am. Reliable and speeds beyond what we pay for. In the 3 houses I’ve lived in here spread out in a 60 mile radius it’s been great. We have 1gig spectrum fiber at work and it’s been good. Now, we have spectrum at a Houston facility and it sucks. It’s not reliable or consistent. We have users all over the place and some have great luck with spectrum and others have unreliable service. They also contract with local tech companies for support and some are better than others. Some are legit techs and others seem like somebody’s kid who “knows about computers “.

Best bet is to talk to your neighbors that have it about their experience.

I can also say google fiber in our area is garbage. That crap always goes down.

Every time they raise my rate to $70, I call and end up speaking with the cancellation department.

I quote the special they have for new customers and they normally adjust the bill down a bit.

If married- consider placing the bill in one name.

If needed one person can cancel and the other can sign up as a new customer.

Spectrum has an equipment page of gear that works with their service.

Open that page- open amazon / Newegg/ tiger and read reviews on the hardware.

Spectrum also has a $45/ month smart phone plan through Verizon

                        I tried them...
                        1) They told me I could watch TV from my hotel on a Roku when traveling, a lie, or the door-to-door lady was completely ignorant, which I don't doubt also, however Roku Spectrum TV Streams had to be from their supplied Internet pipe only (at the time, but might have changed)... not external, I even tried on my phone Cell data, no love.

                        2) My Internet would just cut out, and I couldn't watch 15 minutes of Youtube videos, or Netflix without buffers kicking, pausing the video, because Internet pipe just froze for 30-45 seconds at a time, constantly.

                        3) I called at least 4 times in 5 days, as I happened to take a couple of days off during this time, and they offered to have someone come out (heard this from others before too, and they never fixed anything), I told them I would just be returning their equipment, as it wasn't worth the hassle.

I ripped all their crap out in less than 5 days, and plugged FiOS back in, and although I was guaranteed 100% money back, they only refunded 50%. 2 more calls later, and over another week, they refunded the rest, but what a half-arse crock!

Some people have few, if any Spectrum problems, but I know what Internet speeds are supposed to be, how buffers should not kick in when streaming, and it was a crock of. horse-pucky

(My parents and other had problems with FiOS TV when the Frontier switch happened, but my Internet never went down during this time, but I wasn't on Quantum equipment and service, but the older stuff, w/Internet only, as I was on DirecTV.)

If I had AT&T cell data I wouldn't know what it should be like with a fat-cell data pipe, like many didn't, but Spectrum was HORRIBLE for me, and mine...

You also have other options, like I pulled with FiOS once...
I scheduled new service install, and after confirmed, I canceled my old plan for the day of the re-install... ... ...
I got new customer pricing though... Down or a few hours on reinstall day, but I could phone-tether anyways...

Granted, I HAVE had problems with FiOS, mainly when I tried to update my speeds, and they said my ONT was compat. and it was not, of which I shared my extended grief of, but Spectrum was half-arsing out the gate, it seemed...

I use Spectrum , it works. No FO, where I live currently, so it's the best I can do. Reasonably priced.

I have Spectrum for internet and cable TV, and I also have Spectrum for cell phone service. I’ve used them for two years I don’t have any complaints about them so far. I get the speeds advertised, and I don’t have outages. Spectrum is far better than the DSL offerings in my area.

I got the first year discounted for new customers, and after the first year, when the discounts disappeared, I called and tried to negotiate a lower rate. I did the usual, I’m going to cancel, and the person on the phone wouldn’t budge over pricing, so I saw my rates rise in the second year. But I’m okay with paying that, considering my alternatives.
