How well do the new Windows 10S laptops run older Windows programs?

Most of the new cheaper laptops have Windows 10S installed. There is an option to change it to standard Windows 10 (lite).

How well does it run older Windows programs?

I would like to use Quick Loads software and a few other shooting programs.

P.S. I would also like to watch DVD movies on these laptops, but they don't come with a DVD player. Can these laptops run an external DVD player?

If you change it to 10 from S mode it will run any software that will run on 10. The S mode makes it like apple so microsoft controls what can and can't run.

Like crap, or not at all for Win10. Win10s, is short for Windows 10 sh**.

Exactly why I still use Win7, and Win8.1Pro.

I don't have any problems with Windows 10 Pro. Had Windows 7 Pro before that but I needed 10. Now I've got a Lenovo laptop that runs at 3.0 GHz, has a solid state 1TB drive, and runs 64 GB of RAM. Solid is heck.

You obviously don't know about what runs on a Mac or that Apple doesn't control which programs will run. The ONLY thing Apple controls is what apps are approved for the App Store. Those applications are vetted and do not modify the core of the operating system. That's why you don't see system utilities for sale on the App Store, because those utilities modify the core of the system.

Yeah you are right. I referred to apple meaning IOS and IpadOS. I forget about the mac computers. But what I said is what you said.
