    Software question

Bitdefender - is this software a worthy addition for a home computer?

As I understanding it does the job as a router and it is also an anti-virus program. If my router's password is strong, and Window 10's own anti-virus program seems to be working (I gave up using NOD 32 a couple years ago as it conflicted w/ Win 10), what added benefit is there to Bitdefender? FWIW...this software comes free for the first year with the purchase of a new laptop.

Protecting your computer comes down to you and what you do on it.
Same day exploits cannot be stopped with them. So backup as needed.

I haven't run any virus software for years, other than what Window 10 comes with. No issues.

If you do your part you don't need anti-virus.

I'll only answer if you subject is changed to reference the real Title/subject... as if cognitive-function is REALZ.
This is NOT a generalized "Software question", but a question about "Bitdefender - is this software a worthy addition for a home computer?", which should be the title/Subject.

Subjects like "FAVOR" and crap like this is what I see in Corp. America at work every day, and it is getting very annoying watching the ignorance and laziness grow, with even just subjects... as a starting point.

You can even fix these after the fact people!!! (Edit => Advanced the OG post...)

I can`t recommend a good anti-virus. If you want to be safe then you should be very careful with what are you doing with your pc. I totally recommend downloading an automatic driver updater. Keeping your pc updated helps more, gives you more power and it is more usable. I just keep it updated. I update my windows every time when there is a new update, my drivers automatically update so I don’t bother with them. And my pc is fast, doesn’t give errors when I want to install something or use a very unknown app. Anti-viruses are good but keeping your drivers updated is the best thing that you can do to your pc.
