    Yahoo Mail App

So I use the yahoo mail app and pretty much since the CV, the stupid app sends me news updates about CV related news. Mostly Trump did this, Trump didn't do that type nonsense. Is there a way (short of deleting the app) or setting I can change to not send me news feed stories?

This is on an Android cell phone BTW.

    TIA

I have been getting those too. It is not a part of the app, these are actual emails coming to you. You will see them even if you access the web version of your mailbox.

You can unsubscribe. Here is the one they sent today, when I open it in the web mail app on my PC I see this unsubscribe link:

Maybe it's based on the mail account as I haven't received anything about Covid-19. What's interesting is my account email ends with @yahoo.com

Looking at SkyHawk's email ending with ymail.com makes me wonder...

I have had this account for 25+ years and I don't have any special settings. I don't get anything from yahoo other than a login from an unrecognized computer which I have done several time over the years myself. So IS it possible it's related to the app ONCE you install it?

It could also be that you opted out of their communications long ago, or since your account was created way back that you never opted in, which is probably a default setting now for new accounts. My account is only 12yrs old.

Also, this only started with the Covid craze. In 12yrs I have never had Yahoo send me stuff like this.

For me, Yahoo mail is nothing more than junk and spam. I completely deleted the app and now I only use a Gmail address. The problem has improved dramatically. I get very little garbage now.

Yahoo Mail is my go to junk email address. If I "need" to give an email address that I don't want to give my primary out for, it's Yahoo.
