    Copy of Windows 10 Pro

I took the plunge and bought my first Macbook Pro!

Really looking forward to setting it up and using it. I want to run Boot Camp and need to get a copy of Windows 10 Pro.

Anyone know how to get an inexpensive license?

    Thank you!

Wait, you spend a bunch of extra cash on a Mac and then the first thing you want to do is install Windows???

I need it for some remote desktop applications and my color scanner will not work on a MAC.

A LOT of people want fancy, bought/started the entire business (on) Macs, then, realize the software the business requires to operate only runs on Windows, so then they run Windows in a VM on top. Sounds like a waste of 3x the cash to me...
especially since they need a RAM and SSD upgrade, and the Mac has soldered on RAM and SSD... ... ...

I've heard this story a few times at least...

I own both and their is no comparison between navigating on a mac to a pc as far as speed when everything is equal. A macbook Pro is way faster and smoother than PC and this comes from someone who has configured PCs for almost 20 years. With that said, I run virtual machines to do certain tasks that mac doesn't do as well. But in regards to general operation with the web and most applications when navigating, Mac is so much better.

You must be using different parameters or software/apps than I am. I find the PC generally faster especially for business applications, but I don't do the social media and don't run too many apps, I still mostly run programs.

I am using NVME and SSD, everything is instant. An Apple computer with my specs does not even exist, and mine was cheaper than the cheapest Mac when I built it.

Yup, even cheaper.. I've paid about $1.50, recently about $3.

Its worth mentioning that its worth buying a "retail" copy of windows over an "OEM" copy.

Retail can be reinstalled and moved from machine to machine. Much better for something like a VM

OEM can only be installed once and is supposed to "live and die" with the hardware.

Drastic changes to VM virtual hardware can cause activation issues.
