Moving data from Outlook to Google

The objective: Be able to transfer past/current contact information and calendar input from the past 20 years from Outlook into Google.

I'm currently using Outlook 2010 (PC) to input all my contact information and calendar input. The program has served me well (excluding email) but I need this information in the cloud on my Android phone so I can input information both in the office and in the field. I've used the internet to see about transferring the info into Google, but not all the fields migrate. The calendar information transfers but I have 14 fields in Outlook to transfer and not all fields migrate.

Any suggestions how to transfer Contact and Calendar data from Outlook 2010 into a Google account? Thanks.

This is what we use: https://support.google.com/a/answer/9476255?hl=en

If you're talking about migrating to a generic @gmail.com account, then the data migration service is not applicable.

Note: The G Suite data migration is throttled, even for Enterprise. It is terribly slow. Last time I checked, it was one object per second.

Can you set up Gmail as an IMAP server in Outlook and recreate the folder structure and then just drag and drop from local to Gmail for contacts / mail?

I’ve used Perl scripts in the past to sync IMAP accounts but if your store is local .PST, Outlook needs to be the one to copy the data, without paying for software or some other service.

You should be able to email your entire set of contacts as a series of attached .VCF files and then Gmail should be able to add them.

As for the calendar, export it to some familiar 3rd format, like ICS and then import into Google calendar directly. You can also massage it into a CSV file to upload:

You can transfer your events from a different calendar application or Google Account to Google Calendar. When you import an event, guests and conference data for that event are not imported.

^^^ Thats what I would do and was going to suggest the same. Its how I've done it in the past. Setup Gmail as IMAP in Outlook and just drag over your stuff from your default Outlook account to your Gmail IMAP folders.
